Back in October of this year, Syunik Governor Vahe Hakobyan said that on October 4, the Armenian side signed an agreement with one of the Czech airlines to purchase an L-410 aircraft, which will fly from Kapan airport after putting it into operation. "The flights will be carried out every two days, in March this year the plane will be in Armenia," Hakobyan said. The governor noted that part of the cost of purchasing the aircraft was taken over by the Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine. "The plant provided 1.5 million rubles, the remaining part of the amount will be received in the leasing format," he said, adding that the final cost of tickets has not yet been determined, but according to preliminary estimates, they will cost 30-40 thousand drams. "There will be subsidized tickets for students, people with health problems, so that they can immediately fly to Yerevan," the governor of Syunik said. He noted that at the end of the first half of 2017 repair work began at the Syunik airport. As of December 2017, $ 2.5 million was spent on its modernization.
Let L-410 "Turbolet" (other names: L-410, Summer-410, Turbolot) is a multipurpose twin-engine aircraft for local overhead lines (MVL).
