Moreover, long-term loans prevail in the external debt of banks, the share of which increased in the annual section from 45.9% to 66.4% ($ 1.3 billion). The third place is occupied by the private sector, whose share in the gross external debt decreased from 15.5% to 13.7% ($ 1.4 billion), with an annual decline of 6.7%, with growth for the fourth quarter by 7% (against annual growth of 6.2% and quarterly - 6.2% in 2016), with long-term loans continuing to dominate - 84.8% or $ 1.2 billion (against 87.1% in 2016). The fourth place is occupied by inter-company loans, the share of which in the gross external debt increased from 10.5% to 12.4% ($ 1.3 billion) with the acceleration of the annual growth of the absolute value from 10.6% to 24.5%, but only in the fourth quarter - by 6% (against growth of 13% in the fourth quarter of 2016). The share of the Central Bank in the gross external debt increased from 6.3% to 7% ($ 734 million) during the year with the acceleration of the annual growth of the absolute value from 4.2% to 17.3%, and only in the fourth quarter - by a decline of 1.2% % (against a similar decline in the fourth quarter of 2016), and in the Central Bank's debt the lion's share is long-term loans - 99.8% or $ 732.5 million.
As a result of an increase in gross external debt for 2017 by 5.8% and a decline in gross external assets by 0.5% (to $ 4.9 billion), net external debt increased by 11.9% (to $ 5.6 billion). Only for the fourth quarter of 2017 gross external assets increased by 2%, which increased by 6.3% in gross external debt, and net foreign debt increased by 10.4%.
