ArmInfo. On May 14, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan took part in the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Sochi. Yerevan, May 14. ArmInfo.
According to the press service of the Government, in the course of his welcoming speech Pashinyan stated that in Armenia a peaceful change of power occurred. "We have already formed a new government whose program concept does not provide for a change in the foreign policy vector, I confirm Armenia's commitment to fulfill all international obligations, including within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union." We are committed to active interaction with our partners in the EAEU, goods, services, labor and capital, as well as the introduction of privileged regimes of economic cooperation governed by the legislation of the Union, " - said the RA Prime Minister.
At the same time, Pashinyan noted that the discourse around the EAEU, existing in the Armenian society, is due to the fact that the solution of administrative tasks, the transition to new regulatory mechanisms, as well as the existence of various obstacles, do not justify the business, the expectations for concrete, quick and tangible results that lie the basis of the structure. "I think that the joint efforts of the EAEU countries and consistency in achieving daily results can reduce the scale of such discussions. Armenia is interested in this and proceeds from the fact that first of all it is necessary to ensure an increase in the volume of trade and economic cooperation, put emphasis on high and new technologies, in practice ensure equal conditions for all economic entities, find solutions to those main issues that directly affect on the quality of life. After all, if the indicators of economic activity are not felt by citizens, then they become part of the "statistical category", "the head of the Armenian government said.
At the same time, he stressed that the Armenian side is ready to facilitate the adoption of all documents agreed upon at the meeting. "I would like to comment on the foreign policy activity of the EAEU," Pashinyan continued, "after a long agreement on the status of the observer, in our opinion, fully proceeds from the agreement on the Union." According to him, the issue of implementing other formats of cooperation between the EAEU and third countries should be considered after an analysis of the practical implementation of observer status in the organization.
At the same time, Pashiyan expressed his belief that the introduction of the macroeconomic policy for 2018-2019 and its revitalization in order to restore economic growth will undoubtedly contribute to the achievement of national priorities, including the implementation of steps to create a single market for services.
In conclusion, the Armenian Prime Minister expressed the hope that further cooperation of the member states of the EAEU will be directed to development, in particular by creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurship and investment, as well as improving the living standards of citizens.
