ArmInfo. On May 15, the Armenian Prime Minister presented to the apparatus of the Ministry of Finance of the newly appointed head of the department Atom Dzhanjughazyan, who prior to his appointment served as chief treasurer and first deputy minister.
The Prime Minister thanked the former Minister Vardan Aramian first of all, stressing that on the day of his appointment, Aramian and Dzhanjughazyan received the most pleasant and important information about the payment of wages and the collection of state budget revenues on time, as this meant that the system continues its work, regardless of the specifics of the internal political situation at that time.
As Pashinyan pointed out, it is not necessary to represent Dzhanjughazyan to the Ministry of Finance, since he worked for many years in the system, making an important contribution to the development and establishment of the Ministry. "The decision on the appointment, in this case, was made taking into account the priorities, which are based on ensuring the continuity of reforms that are important for the stability of the system and the state," the prime minister said.
According to Pashinyan, in the near future the government faces the task of adequately submitting a report on the 2017 budget fulfillment, a medium-term expenditure program, as well as work on designing the state budget for 2019. "I am confident that Mr. Dzhanjughazyan will be able to properly implement all the planned programs," he said. At the same time, the prime minister stressed the role of ex-minister Aramyan in improving the system of public financial management.
Vardan Aramyan, in turn, thanked the prime minister for the high appraisal of his activity, and also expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Finance for effective joint work. He expressed readiness to assist the Ministry in implementing the forthcoming programs and assured that the department, under the leadership of Atom Dzhanjughazyan, will continue to work with the same devotion.
The new Minister of Finance, in turn, thanked for the trust. He assured that all programs initiated by the Ministry of Finance will be brought to the logical end. As Dzhanjughazian noted, the Ministry of Finance will do everything possible to ensure Armenia's economic stability and development. To note, on May 12 Atom Dzhanjughazian was appointed to the post of Minister of Finance of Armenia.
