ArmInfo. The Committee on State Revenues of Armenia should not interfere with business entities and ensure a consistent reduction of the shadow economy. This was stated on May 18 by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, representing the newly appointed department head David Ananyan.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, while expressing appreciation to the former head of the Committee Vardan Harutyunyan, Nikol Pashinyan wished success to David Ananyan in his new post. According to the Prime Minister, both the tax and customs services are constantly at the center of attention of the public, the press and the government. "We are constantly talking about reforms in the system, and at the same time, we note that they are inadequate." It is necessary to carry out reforms with new force, "said Nikol Pashinyan.
According to the head of government, the structure faces two main problems that need to be solved in the near future. First, do not interfere with business entities, and the second - to ensure a consistent reduction of the shadow economy, the implementation of the revenue side of the state budget, the growth of tax revenues. "I think that it is up to the tax and customs services to determine whether we can transform the positive energy observed as a result of recent political events into concrete economic results," Nikol Pashinyan said.
According to the prime minister, what is available today was in short supply for many years. "It's optimism, trust in the future, I'm sure that we will have serious economic growth and raise the state to a qualitatively new level," Nikol Pashinian said. The solution of these tasks, the Prime Minister continued, largely depends on the activities of the tax and customs services. He expects the new head of the agency to achieve quick and effective results that will be visible and tangible to citizens. The Prime Minister of Armenia once again stressed the importance of fighting corruption, noting that it must be radically eradicated. "We are at the stage when the problem of fighting corruption needs to be made a reality, so that there are no doubts." New times must bring new rules, and I hope that we have the necessary will, consistency and ability to confront these challenges " , Nikol Pashinyan said.
