ArmInfo. EBRD is interested in expanding the scope of cooperation with Armenia in various fields. This was during a meeting with Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, the director-coordinator for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, EBRD Francis Malige. "Armenia is one of the most important partners of the Bank. We are ready for close cooperation with the new government team," he stressed.
As the press service of the government reports, N. Pashinyan stressed the importance of cooperation with the EBRD, noting that the Bank is significantly involved in the Armenian economy. "We are interested in developing cooperation and successful implementation of all programs," the head of government said. At the same time to increase the effectiveness of programs, he stressed the need for joint work to avoid all possible corruption risks. The prime minister stressed that one of the priorities of the government is the fight against corruption, and in this respect the increasing role of the use of credit resources plays a special role.
F. Malige said that the delegation of the Board of Directors of EBRD will visit Armenia in autumn. This, he said, will be a good opportunity to discuss the prospects for development and expand the scope of cooperation with the Bank.
