ArmInfo. The State Revenue Committee of Armenia (SRC) expressed its position regarding the unpaid tax debt on the part of large companies engaged in network trade in products that are not agricultural. At the initiative of the SRC, a regular meeting was held with representatives of large trading networks.
According to the press service of the department, industry risks were discussed, in particular, related to the activity of large business through individual entrepreneurs (IP). According to the deputy chairman of the SRC Rafik Mashadyan, there are concrete data that according to the known scheme of circumvention of VAT, large supermarket chains sold products that are not agricultural. The State Revenue Committee urged a large business that, according to a well-known scheme, sold non-agricultural products, to reflect this turnover in the VAT tax return as soon as possible. Otherwise, administrative measures established by law will be taken against economic entities. In this case, as the deputy chairman pointed out, in addition to the principal debt and fines, penalties will also be applied.
The final position on agro products, as Mashadyan noted, will be presented to supermarkets after the completion of the relevant activities by the NSS.
The tax and customs authority once again warned the big business - to carry out activities exclusively within the law, following the most severe rules of operation of cash registers (OCR). To recall, on June 8, responding to the question of ArmInfo, the chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia David Ananyan stated that all major retail chains of Armenia switched to a mode of operation with VAT. Back in late May this year large retailers were warned that early agreements with the former government are no longer valid and they need to return to the lawful tax field in a short time. According to Ananyan, the Committee adheres to the following position: 11-12 large supermarket chains that sold non- agricultural products under the same VAT circuit will be obliged to pay all unpaid tax debts to the budget.
