Ameriabank, adhering to the proposal of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, decided to proceed with the zeroing of fines and penalties on fixed on May 31 all bad loans to individuals, if these borrowers apply to the bank to discuss options for repayment of the loan amount and interest accrued by 2019.
In addition, Ameriabank decided to to zero fines and penalties of individuals on unsecured loans with a contractual amount of up to 5 million AMD.
According to the Financial Rating of Armenian Banks as of April 1, 2018, prepared by NA ArmInfo, Ameriabank continues to lead in terms of key financial indicators. The bank's credit investments amounted to 475.6 billion drams ($ 990.6 million, the 1st position), with annual growth of 1%. In the total loan portfolio of the Bank, the share of bad loans accounts for 1.5%, with an insignificant increase in the absolute value in the annual cut. About 18% of the bank's bad loans are concentrated in the portfolio of consumer loans, the absolute value of which in the annual section has increased almost 2 times. The total volume of consumer loans increased by 44.3% year-on-year, and in this portfolio the share of bad loans is 3.3%. In the total loan portfolio of the bank, port loans are by no means dominant - 8.2%. The first quarter of 2018, the Bank completed with a net profit of 2.6 billion AMD ($ 5.3 million, 1st position), with an annual growth rate of 56%.
