ArmInfo. 10 billion AMD from the funds returned to the state as a result of the identification of corruption phenomena and schemes for tax evasion, in the form of subventions (programs that are 40% financed by the communities, 60% by the government) will be allocated to the regions. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated this at a meeting with the heads of the communities of Syunik region in the Mayor's Office of Goris on July 5.
The primary task, according to the prime minister, is the targeted use of funds allocated from the state budget. At the same time, as the prime minister pointed out, it is impossible to fight corruption alone, regardless of whether you are a prime minister, minister or mayor. "We must unite our potential around this problem," Pashinyan said. According to the head of government, it is impossible to solve the issue of the effectiveness of spending public funds only through law enforcement agencies - this should be a daily task for each of us. "After my election to the post of prime minister, I met with businessmen and officially announced that they are free from corruption obligations, and today I also declare that you are free from corruption obligations." Do not bring the case to law enforcement bodies, "said Nikol Pashinyan.
According to Pashinyan, it was planned to allocate 5 billion drams for the subventions in 2018. But, taking into account financial problems, the prime minister proposed allocating 10 billion drams from the sums restored as a result of corruption exposures. According to the Prime Minister, this year the budget received 48 billion drams more than expected.
