ArmInfo. MTS Armenia (VivaCell-MTS trademark) is the leader in the list of largest taxpayers among Armenian telecoms for the second consecutive year, paying 5.6 bln drams to the state budget in the first half of 2018, of which 1.5 bln drams - on customs duties, over 2.7 bln drams .
Drams - for direct taxes (including income tax, income tax), 2.8 billion drams - for indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax). In the same list of 1000 largest taxpayers, "MTS Armenia" (trade mark VivaCell-MTS) occupies the 11th position, as well as a year earlier. According to the published data of the RA State Revenue Committee, the four telecom operators paid 13.9 billion drams (13% annual growth) for taxes in the first half of the year in 2018, of which 5.9 billion - in direct taxes (including VAT) tax on profits, income tax) and 7.9 billion - on indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax).
VEON Armenia (Beeline trademark), which paid 3.9 billion drams to the budget through taxes, of which 1.7 billion - on direct (including income tax, income tax) and 2.1 billion - on indirect (in t.ch. VAT, excise tax), customs duty payments amounted to 25.7 million drams, ranked 17th in the total list of 1000 largest taxpayers, compared to the 12th year earlier.
UCom allocated 3.8 bln drams to the budget on taxes, of which 63.9 mln drams - on customs duties, 1.1 bln drams - on direct (including profit tax, income tax) and 2.6 bln drams - on indirect (including VAT, excise tax), took the 18th place in the general list of 1000 largest taxpayers, as well as a year earlier.
JNC Alfa (a trademark of Rostelecom) paid 645.6 million drams to the budget for taxes, 4.5 million of which was for customs duties, 270 million for direct taxes (including profit tax, income tax) and 375.6 million - indirect (including VAT, excise tax), taking the 126th place in the general list of 1000 largest taxpayers, against 220th year earlier.
In the first half of the year in 2017, four telecom operators paid about 12.3 billion drams to the budget in the total volume of taxes, out of which 4.6 billion drams fell to the share of the leader - MTS Armenia. (The calculated rate of the dram as of 30.06.2018 is 482.24 AMD/USD1).
