ArmInfo. "Today, two companies import gasoline and diesel fuel to Armenia, and I believe that in order to create a healthy competitive environemtn, there is a need to bring one more player to the market, which will result in reduction in prices," Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan told Azatutyun.TV in a live interview.
In this light, he noted that it may be another large company, since it should own all necessary infrastructure, filling stations, etc. One of the reasons for the rise in price of agricultural products, in particular, watermelons and carrots, the official called the water deficit and, most likely, a serious increase in the volume of agricultural exports. "It is very likely that the rise in prices is due to the unprecedented growth in the export of Armenian agro products to the markets of the countries of the EEU, especially to Russia, the amounts of which are not comparable with the figures of the past year," Avinyan explained.
