ArmInfo."We invite all investors to take part in the economic breakthrough to which Armenia is preparing," Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a meeting with representatives of the organization "Movement of French Enterprises" (MEDEF) on September 14.
As the press service of the Armenian government informs, according to Pashinyan the revolution that took place in Armenia would not have made sense if it had not been possible to implement the revolution in the economic sector. Prime Minister stressed that a nonviolent, velvet revolution was carried out in Armenia that turned into a revolution of values. At present, Nikol Pashinyan continued, the most important stage begins - the implementation of the economic revolution, for the success of which it is necessary to determine the clear rules of the game. "We have stated these rules many times, but not everyone believes it yet." After I was elected prime minister, I invited representatives of the business community and told them that they were free from the previous corruption obligations. "We offer the business community just two conditions: business activity should be legal, aimed at the opening of new jobs, as well as the implementation of full-fledged payments to the state budget, "the head of the Armenian government said.
He stressed that the executive body considered the alarms voiced by business circles about the complex tax legislation. The government of the country is already taking steps in this direction. However, problems related to the old political system have not been fully resolved. Many companies had to play by the old rules based on corrupt deals. "By the way, by the time I was elected, "Carrefour" was the only supermarket working within the law and I visited it first." Under the old conditions, Carrefour faced recourse; currently it has begun to develop again. "Currently, all supermarkets operate within the law ", the Prime Minister noted. According to him, the government had to explain itself with a number of foreign companies of not destroying the business, but achieving the greatest efficiency. Most of the deals concluded earlier did not take into account the interests of Armenia and its people, and in this he does not see the guilt of the companies. "When studying a number of treaties, we saw that only the interests of individuals were taken into account from the Armenian side, the interests of Armenia and its people were not taken into account in most of the deals concluded earlier." We must understand all these issues and find answers, otherwise we will have a title without content ", - he said. "We want to turn Armenia from an agrarian state to a high-tech country, and it's not just empty ambitions," Pashinyan assured, stressing that the field of information technologies in Armenia is developing dynamically. "Companies engaged in high-tech production are already showing a certain interest, and we invite all investors to take part in the take-off to which Armenia is preparing," the Prime Minister said.
