ArmInfo. Since September 15, 2018, individuals who are not individual entrepreneurs (IP) will be able to import into Armenia a much larger volume of goods without customs clearance.
Thus, according to the press service of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, the decision of the Armenian government on August 9 this year comes into effect. on the revision of the permissible volumes for importing into Armenia for individuals not registered as IP, stopped by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers 865-N of July 30, 2015. This is done to eliminate the contradictions between this decision and ECE Decision No. 107 of December 20, 2017.
In particular, as pointed out in the SRC, the current limit for animal products up to 3 kg is raised to 30 kg. The current limit for living trees, plants, bulbs, roots up to 5 pieces, but not more than 2 kg is increased to 15 pieces, but not more than 50 kg. The permissible threshold for the import of coffee, tea and spices from the currently installed 5 kg is revised to 15 kg.
As the head of SRC Davit Ananyan noted earlier, these installations do not jeopardize the activity of small businesses. "There is no way to make big concessions," he said.
