ArmInfo. The largest international business forum in the EAEU Eurasian Week will be held in Armenia from October 22 to 24. This was announced on September 18 during a press conference by the head of the Business Armenia Businessmen Assistance Group Hayk Mirzoyan.
According to him, this year the event will be held in the format of an exhibition forum, where 250 enterprises from the EAEU member countries and over 2,500 participants are expected to attend. He explained that each country will be represented by three dozen enterprises and companies engaged in the processing of agricultural, including organic, products, pharmaceuticals, light industry, the development of the production of smart building materials, IT and precision engineering, jewelry and lapidary production.
Answering the question ArmInfo Mirzoyan noted that the spheres were determined by the Eurasian Economic Commission, the main criterion of which was the availability of an innovative component and export potential.
Anahit Mkrtchyan, head of the Business Armenia Fund for export assistance, added that representatives of third countries are also expected to participate. She noted that during the forum there will be meetings in the format of round tables, B2B. Topics of discussion will be the search for partners in the field of light industry, pharmaceuticals and jewelry business.
To participate, interested parties need to register on the website www.eurasianweek.com before September 20th. In this regard, the representative of the Fund noted that the Armenian side has already completed registration. "The main goal of the event is the development of cooperation within the framework of the EAEU and the strengthening of integration ties," stressed A. Mkrtchyan.
To note, the Eurasian Week is the largest international business forum in the space of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Since 2016, this annual event has been held for the third time. The forum is aimed at strengthening integration, increasing economic potential and expanding production cooperation of the EAEU countries. The site of the forum serves to develop a network of direct B2B contacts and to attract companies from third countries as potential consumers and investors to create competitive and export- oriented products. The focus of attention of the Eurasian Week 2018 is the creation of a favorable business climate in the EAEU, the strengthening of production links, the development of export potential, and the creation of attractive conditions for foreign investors.
