ArmInfo. Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Foreign Minister of Rwanda Louise Mushikiwabo during the October 9 meeting stressed mutual readiness to take practical steps to intensify relations between the two countries and deepen sectoral cooperation.
As the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry told ArmInfo, the sides pointed out such areas of possible cooperation as the digital economy, information technologies and innovations as a key area. Pointing out that the development of comprehensive relations with African countries is in Armenia's foreign policy priorities, Mnatsakanyan expressed hope that the holding of the OIF summit and the 35th meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Francophonie in Yerevan will give new impetus to the expansion of multilateral cooperation within the organization, as well as outline prospects for further strengthening and deepening bilateral ties between member states. The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Rwanda exchanged views on the results of the 35th Ministerial Conference, the agenda of the 17th Summit, as well as the priorities of the Armenian Presidency of the OIF.
