ArmInfo.. Schneider Electric, a global expert in energy management and automation, held an international conference "Energy of the Future" in Armenia, which was dedicated to energy security and integrated energy-efficient decision-making models.

Schneider Electric conference participants - business elite, experts in the field of energy and industry, representatives of the new generation of engineers and IT, journalists - familiarized themselves with the Schneider Electric energy efficiency and safety model, visited the company's competence center laboratory with its high-tech modern equipment that meets all international standards.
The base site for the meeting was the National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NUAU), one of the oldest and rating universities of the republic, founded in 1933 and graduating more than 100,000 high-level specialists. In July 2017, Schneider Electric opened a technical laboratory in Yerevan on the basis of HNPA.
Senior Vice President, President of Schneider Electric for Russia and the CIS Johan Vanderplaetse noted: "We understand that energy security and the development of information technologies are priority areas for Armenia, therefore Schneider Electric provides active expert support to partners in the republic. So, in 2017, our company, Tashir State Concern, Electric Networks of Armenia (ESA), as well as the National Polytechnic University of Armenia (PNUA) signed a quadrilateral agreement on the opening of the Center for Competences in Energy Distribution and Automation. Over the past year and a half, cooperation of power engineers from different countries has shown a big breakthrough in understanding current challenges in achieving energy and economic security in the region, as well as the level of training of students studying the latest global technologies. Schneider Electric international experts appreciated the scientific and intellectual potential of Armenian experts. The main topics of discussion at the Schneider Electric conference in Yerevan were <The Internet of Things and Industry 4.0>, <Intelligent Energy Supply and Infrastructure Management>, <The Newest Architecture of Industrial Automation and Management>, <Modern Data Centers>. The infrastructure of Yerevan and other cities of Armenia was considered as a potential location for evaluating actions to optimize and attract investments, to improve the quality of the national and urban environment. Previously, Schneider Electric launched similar projects in Paris, Astana and the high-tech city of Innopolis in the Republic of Tatarstan.
