ArmInfo.Even such a small country like Armenia should not forget about its cyber security, Rudolph Giuliani, Adviser to the US president on cyber security stated on October 23 in Yerevan at the plenary session "Technological Breakthrough and EAEU Potential ". According to him, cybercrime is a threat that grows from year to year.
By the degree of its danger, it can be attributed to crime number one, not only in the USA and Europe, but also in developing countries. This is explained by the fact that access to the Internet in the world is growing faster than the possibilities of protection. "As a result, the number of hacker attacks is growing, which amount to a million a day, and, today, this is not the upper threshold at all," the Adviser to the US President said. He urged to think about systems that would neutralize particularly dangerous threats. Such work, continued Giuliani, will be important for the protection of both business and vital infrastructures, hospitals, banks, and in the future autonomous cars. "No country can cope with such an influx of hacker attacks alone. Therefore, cooperation in cyber security is not just desirable - it is inevitable. And if one country has an efficient solution, it should not be afraid to pass it on to others, because tomorrow they will transfer their solutions to you. "One cannot stand alone. And if sharing technology in security is not always justified, then in cyber security it is the only possible option," Giuliani said.
