ArmInfo. Breeding poultry farm "Arzni" does not recognize the decision of the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) and appeals it in accordance with the law. This is stated in the statement of the company received by ArmInfo.
To note, the regulator fined the factory with 20 million drams the day before. The penalty has been applied for the manifestation of unfair competition, in particular, for misleading consumers, as well as for violating the principles of good faith with respect to competitors, the SCPEC reports. According to the report, the re-examination confirmed the fact of unfair competition from "Arzni kat", which is part of the "Arzni" breeding farm. As a part of the sweet butter produced by the company, there is no cow's milk at all, it is 100% plant origin. During the months when the violation was committed, one 200-gram pack of the company's product called "sweet butter" was sold at a price of 530 drams, in the case when the average price of one pack of butter of the same fat content of Armenian production in the same period was 900-950 drams. However, after the commencement of production by the commission, the price for the same product of the company increased already to 830 drams. Curd supplied by the company to kindergartens also turned out to be of plant origin. Meanwhile, as noted in the company's current statement, there are some inaccuracies and problematic points in the announcement made by SCPEC. In particular, the regulator did not select the oil produced by the company. Instead, materials published on the Hetk.am website were used as charges. And this is in a situation in which it is unknown how the selection was made, whether the necessary procedures were maintained. However, the commission did not take these arguments into account. Instead, a re-examination was carried out, which was carried out by the same company. Meanwhile, the SCPEC report said that another examination was being conducted. "The regulator's decision is unacceptable, because for a long time the company adhered to the motto" Yes, our cause is just, "and always maintained its products at a high level," the statement said, which also emphasized that the company has 1,500 livestock numbers in this context, there is no need to use alternative sources instead of milk. "After receiving the decision, the company will have the opportunity to return in detail to the decision of the commission," the statement says.
