ArmInfo. 9 manufacturers from Armenia take part in the international Middle East exhibition of natural and organic products (Middle East Organic & Natural Products Expo) in Dubai. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the source, a single pavilion <Organic Armenia>, which exhibits such certified products as honey, mineral waters, natural juices and vegetable teas, represents Armenia at the annual exhibition, which runs from November 18 to November 20. It is expected that 10 thousand professional visitors will visit the event. The exhibition is the only special event in the region. Like last year, the participation of Armenian companies in the exhibition took place within the framework of the Organic Farming Initiative program financed by the European Union, co-financed and implemented by the Austrian Development Agency in close cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Japan International Cooperation Agency.
According to Acting Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia Gegham Gevorgyan, the development of organic agriculture in Armenia is one of the promising areas for unlocking the potential of the sector. In this context, all steps must be taken to encourage farmers to produce organic products.
