ArmInfo.According to the results of studies of the activities of mining companies, 127 of them were given warnings in connection with their debts, the total amount of which amounted to 574 million drams. Acting Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia Garegin Baghramyan stated on November 21, at a press conference.
According to him, the sum of 134 million drams has already been restored. Moreover, in the case of 5 companies, due to non-fulfillment of their obligations, their right of subsurface management was terminated. The Acting Head of the Armenian Ministry of Energy did not clarify which companies are in question.
Earlier it was reported that a number of companies engaged in the mining industry received a written warning from the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia on the need to fulfill their obligations on tax payments. We are talking about environmental payments, state duties and payments for the maintenance of the environment. This requirement is enshrined in Article 61 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia "On Subsoil". Now, according to Article 30 of the same code, the warned business entities undertake to fulfill the requirement established by law within 90 days. Otherwise, after the expiration of the specified period, the authority reserves the right to suspend their right to use subsoil.
