The slowdown in the growth of industrial production is caused by the deterioration of the dynamics of the mining sector and the inhibition of the growth of the manufacturing industry. According to the RA Statistical Committee, in October 2018 alone, industrial production increased volumes by 11% (against a growth of 3.7% in October 2017) with a volume of 164 billion drams ($ 338.1 million).
In January-October 2018 versus the same period of 2017, the mining industry and the development of open-pit mines recorded a decline of 13% (against 12% growth a year earlier) - to 251 billion drams.
