ArmInfo.The Asian Development Bank (ADB-ADB) is ready with the Yerevan City Hall to discuss technical, consulting and financial assistance in the implementation of transport reform. The head of the Armenian office of the Asian Development Bank Shane Rosenthal said this during a meeting with Yerevan Mayor Aink Marutyan.According to the press service of the metropolitan mayor's office, the parties expressed satisfaction with a rich bilateral agenda.
Hayk Marutyan noted the importance of the participation of ADB in the development of Yerevan infrastructures, stressing that the construction of bypass roads will be of great help to the city in solving problems with the workload of urban transport. He noted that reforms in the field of public transport for the metropolitan government are of primary importance.It should be noted that Armenia joined the ADB in 2005 and is included in the group of countries with mixed (concessional and ordinary) financing. The Bank is addressing poverty reduction in the Asia-Pacific region through stimulating economic growth and regional integration. Earlier, Shane Rosenthal reported that in 2018, ADB will continue to finance various projects, both in the private sector and in the public sector, including infrastructure development, and will also provide technical assistance grants.
