On the eve of the New Year holidays, VTB Bank (Armenia), jointly with the Visa international payment system, launched a new campaign ''profitable purchases'' that encourages non-cash payments. According to the press service of the bank, within the framework of this campaign, there is a chance to become the owner of one of five lucky Visa cards of VTB Bank (Armenia) with a balance of 1 million AMD each.
The campaign, which will last until March 10, 2019, can be attended by both existing and potential cardholders making non-cash payments on a debit and credit card of Visa Bank VTB (Armenia). By accumulating bonus points, cardholders will be able to win 5 Visa cards with a balance of 1 million AMD each. Paying by VTB Bank (Armenia) Visa debit and credit card in shopping centers and service points of Armenia, as well as on the Internet, participants of the campaign will receive points according to the following principle: for each non-cash payment of 1,000 AMD. In particular, by paying with a debit card - the cardholder gets 1 point, credit - 2 points.
According to the announcement, the draw will be held among 100 cardholders, who will make the largest number and volume of non-cash payments by debit and credit cards.

According to the 16th issue of the "Armenian Banks in the Card Business" analytical review, prepared by ArmInfo News Agency, VTB Bank (Armenia) holds the lead not only by the number of active cards, both MasterCard and Visa, but also in terms of plastic transactions. Thus, as of October 1, 2017, the Bank had almost 334 thousand cards, of which over 181 thousand-MasterCard and about 153 thousand are Visa. For the first 9 months of 2017, the volume of plastic transactions via VTB Bank (Armenia) cards amounted to 181.2 billion AMD, of which about 93% or 167.2 billion are ATM transactions. The Bank managed to increase the volume of plastic transactions in y-o-y terms by 13.5%, and ATM transactions - by 14%. Until 2013, VTB Bank (Armenia) issued and serviced only international VISA cards, after which since September of the same year, becoming a full member of the international payment system MasterCard Worldwide, began issuing and servicing Cirrus / Maestro and MasterCard cards, while serving also local ArCa cards.
