ArmInfo. The Inspection body of nature protection and bowels of the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia from January 29 to February 1, 2019 as a result of the work, revealed 39 offenses that caused environmental damage in the total amount of 54.2 million drams.
According to the press service of the Ministry, in 4 cases an administrative fine of 550 thousand drams was imposed. In particular, in the field of crop protection, 25 cases of violations in Lori, Tavush and Gegharkunik regions were found for 52.9 million drams, in respect of which an administrative fine of 150,000 drams was established. In the field of livestock protection, the damage was inflicted on 417,700 drams as a result of the identification of 12 cases of offenses in the Armavir, Tavush, Aragatsotn and Gegharkunik regions. In Yerevan and the Aragatsotn region, 2 cases of offenses were recorded in the field of air and water protection, waste disposal, and protection of land use rights. The damage caused to the environment is estimated at 914 625 drams. According to the report, an administrative fine of 400,000 drams was imposed. As a result of the revealed violations, for the reporting period the state budget received 1,319,020 drams.
