ArmInfo. Increasing the tax burden for accountants, auditors, lawyers and consultants will negatively affect the inflow of investments into the Armenian economy. On February 12, answering the question of ArmInfo, Chairman of the Union of Employers of Armenia Gagik Makaryan stated this on the fields of the international forum called "Tax System, Justice and Economic Development".
Armenia plans to increase the non-taxable VAT threshold on turnover from the current 58.35 million ($ 120 thousand) to 115 million drams ($ 235 thousand), but exclude from the list of potential beneficiaries tax payers of representatives of specialized activities, in particular accountants, auditors lawyers and consultants. This category will not work also in the field of microentrepreneurship.
According to Makaryan, these sectors accompany the activities of foreign companies in Armenia. As the expert pointed out, these directions only began to develop and, if previously many issues were resolved by bribing state officials, then after the revolution the field was cleaned and the time came for the development of intelligence. "If the republic today goes to increase the tax burden for specialized activities, we will prevent them from becoming fully established. In addition, there is a risk that they will go into the shadows. Thus, it is more reasonable to give them time to develop, then go through the" natural selection ", after - think about increasing the tax burden ", Gagik Makaryan concluded.
