The Minister of Territorial Administration and Development of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan stated this during a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to the RA Stefano Lazaroto.

Papikyan stated that the Armenian authorities are interested in a broader and more active presence of Swiss capital in Armenia.In turn, the Ambassador noted that Switzerland is interested in promoting work aimed at ensuring accountability, efficiency and accessibility of services for Armenian citizens in the regions.S. Lazaroto stressed that the investment environment, formed as a result of the velvet revolution, sends positive signals to potential Swiss investors.According to the RA Statistics Committee, foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Switzerland in 2018 increased by 30% to $ 465.2 million. In particular, exports increased by 28.7% to $ 336.4 million, while imports grew by 33.5% to $ 128.8 million.
