ArmInfo. The Russian processing company "MultiCarta" discussed the possibilities of cooperation with the Municipality of Yerevan in the transport sector. On October 17, answering the question of ArmInfo correspondent on the sidelines of a press conference timed to the signing of an agreement with VTB Bank (Armenia) about the intention to cooperate, said General Director of MultiCarta LLC Kirill Sviridenko.
<Opening the brackets>, he noted that "MultiCarta" in the Russian Federation provides services for the organization of accepting payment cards for railway transport, the Moscow metro, however, the company has payment technology in urban land transport (buses, trolleybuses), where special validators are installed. <The idea is to introduce a single technology that will allow a person, having one card, to be served in all types of public transport. We really hope that similar services will also appear in Armenia in the near future>, he said.
According to the head of LLC "MultiKarta", the city hall is currently developing a concept for this project. <The most important thing is that yesterday at the meeting with the vice mayor we heard a full understanding of the need to implement this technology. There was no question: <Why do we need this?>, But it sounded: <How do we do this quickly and beautifully?>. I hope that in a few years this technology will come to Yerevan>, Kirill Sviridenko emphasized.
Recall that MultiCarta LLC is a Russian company providing banking processing and service for more than 25 years. The company provides modern services for business: processing, personalization of bank cards, acquiring and many others, using advanced domestic and foreign technologies, as well as its own unique developments. "MultiCarta" is a partner of the international payment systems Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Union Pay, JCB and NSPK "Mir", certified according to the international PCI DSS standard. The company serves more than 60 Russian and foreign banks. MultCarta is serviced by 50 million cards, 25 thousand ATMs, 250 thousand POS-terminals and 10 thousand Internet-commerce enterprises. In July 2019, the MultiCarta company received the status of the official processor of the UnionPay system and with this, the Chinese payment system UnionPay International (UPI) confirmed the right of the MultiCarta company to service emission and acquiring programs of the participating banks of the system. This status is confirmed by the corresponding certificate and includes support for four areas: servicing a payment gateway, acquiring (POS), ATMs (ATM) and e-commerce programs.
