ArmInfo. Chairman of the Board of Eurasian Economic Commission Tigran Sargsyan met with the President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev on February 26.
As the press-service of EEC informed ArmInfo, during the meeting issues related to the key areas of the Eurasian Economic Union work, solving the current problems and priorities of further development of the integration union were discussed.
Atambayev noted that Kyrgyzstan's membership in EEU coincided with the period of complex processes in the world economy, which brings new challenges for all the members of the integration union. "It is necessary to meet the expectations of Kyrgyzstan's people from integration", Atambayev said.
Tigran Sargsyan noted that Kyrgyzstan's joining EEU allowed to soften influence of global economic crisis on the economy of the country, "Improvement of social standard of living of EEU countries' population is one of the priority issues for EEC", he noted.
