ArmInfo. Under the business program of Tashir Group's for modernization of Armenia's energy system the electricity meters will be collected in Yerevan. Within a year system of online-control of meter indicators will also be launched, Executive Director of Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) CJSC Karen Harutyunyan informed today.
According to Karen Harutyunyan everything possible is being done for reducing existing losses of the company. "In 2015 ENA managed to end the year without excessive losses for the first time. Under the presented investment program, measures are taken to avoid all types of losses as well as to efficiently manage the funds", he noted.
Within the business program of Tashir Group the electric power meters will be collected in Armenia. The company has long ago refused from using induction meters", the representative of ENA explained. Referring to online-control systems he informed that this year it will be applied in Erebuni and Sari Tagh districts of Yerevan, and possibly in Armavir and Gyumri regions. "After applying this system we will ensure qualitatively new level of service", he said.
To recall, Tashir Group and Inter RAO signed an agreement of sale and purchase of electric energy assets in Armenia. The deal was approved by the Armenian Government and was closed after the decision of Public Service Regulatory Commission. The parties agreed that Electric Networks of Armenia and Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant will continue to meet all the liabilities. Tashir Group takes full responsibility for the management of CJSC "Electric Networks of Armenia", said the President of Tashir Group, Samvel Karapetyan. Future development plans include an anti-crisis program to optimize the Company's financial activities and control its commercial operations, as well as gradual modernization of its distribution network facilities.
