ArmInfo. Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan has charged the State Revenue Committee to inspect all big and mid-sized enterprises in Armenia.
Addressing the Cabinet of September 15, the prime minister said a new commission is being set up to coordinate the anti-corruption measures. Karapetyan demanded tax inspections to reveal big producers and importers, especially in the risky fields. Small enterprises must be inspected only when strictly necessary.
The prime minister demanded transparent activity from the customs agencies. More detailed charges will be developed by the Government staff. The prime minister demanded inspecting companies without obstructing their activity.
Commenting on the prime minister's charges, Arsen Ghazaryan, the head of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, said the economy is in very heavy situation. He said the prime minister's assessment of the situation is impartial and challenging. In his words, the prime minister accepts the challenge at the same time and demands the big and mid-size enterprises to implement their tax liabilities. "I hope the tax officers will fulfill the given demand of the prime minister promptly and properly," Ghazaryan said.
