ArmInfo. Armenia intends to launch active cooperation with Spanish "Global Desarollos and Ingenieria S.A." company in agriculture field. The cooperation issues were discussed at the meeting between Armenian Agriculture Minister Ignatiy Arakelyan and the delegation of the company headed by its President Javier Valero Artola, the press-service of the Ministry informs.

During the meeting the sides mentioned that memorandum on cooperation between the Armenian government and "Global Desarollos and Ingenieria S.A." company signed in 2015 may serve as basis for activation of cooperation. The guests expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation with the Armenian "Spayka" company, jointly with which it is planned to build greenhouses on the area of 5 ha and plant intensive gardens on the adjacent territories.

"Building new greenhouses and planting gardens is one of Armenia's priorities in the field  of agriculture.  Your company has great experience in this field and it can be successfully implemented in our country, assisting development of the field", Ignatiy Arakelyan said.

Javier Valero Artola in turn informed the Minister that Spanish entrepreneurs express interest towards the possibility of making investments in the field of agriculture. He as the Chairman of Bilbao bank's board he suggested discussing the issue on possibility of attracting financial funds from the bank. The Spanish side also considers realistic to launch cooperation in such fields as cattle breeding, processing of milk and meat, as well as introduction of drip irrigation systems.

During the meeting the Armenian Minister added that based on the specifics of Armenian regions the Agriculture Ministry intends to develop investment programs for each of the regions for presenting them to potential investors. The Minister suggested studying the issue on establishing agriculture equipment service centers.
