ArmInfo. Vardan Harutynyan, the Head of the State revenue Committee, is full of determination to campaign against the shadow economy, and he knows how to act, he said to journalists in the Parliament on November 7.
"I have been occupied in large business for more than 5 years, and I am well informed about the problems of this sector in Armenia," the Committee Head stated. According to his words, he is completely informed about all the ways and directions of work needed to refine the business field.
As Haroutyunyan mentioned, if the business implements all the tax liabilities in a precise and honest manner, the activities of the Committee will be aimed at the stimulation of the business. Those business people, who will make attempts to defraud the state, or to avoid taxation, will be strictly subjected to persecution.
"Every department of the Committee has to make all the appropriate checks within its range of responsibility to fetch out the "shadow", and if such a "shadow" is discovered, I should be aware of that", the Committee head said, adding that it does not need much time. What is to the instruction of the Prime Ministers in respect to cancellation of all the obstacles for the importers and setting equal opportunities for them, there is an essential progress already. "Today we already have fuel and bananas new suppliers," he mentioned, stating that there are no obstacles for importers in this field.
Priorly the tropic fruits have been imported to Armenia by the Company of Katrin-Group, affiliated to Migran Poghosyan, Head of the Compulsory Enforcement Service, who tendered his resignation upon an offshore scandal. And the diesel fuel has been imported to Armenia by the Companies of "Flash" and "City Petroleum Service."
