ArmInfo. Prices on precious metals have grown in Armenia by 5.2% since the beginning of 2017 versus 4.2% decline in the last week of 2016. All the precious metals registered growth with palladium demonstrating the most significant rise in prices.
The State Depository of Precious Metals and Precious Stones of the Armenian Ministry of Finance has told ArmInfo that the following selling prices have been set for precious metals for January 9-January 15: gold (small bars) - 18152.59 AMD per 1g (3.4% growth versus 1.7% decline in previous week), silver - 254.55 AMD (3.5% growth versus 5.1% decline a week ago), platinum - 14726.29 AMD (4.2% growth versus 1.5% decline), and palladium - 11280.64 AMD (9.6% growth versus previous 8.4% drop). In 2016 precious metals grew in prices by 10.1% in Armenia with palladium prices growing the most (19.3%), then goes silver (11.3%) at this background gold and platinum demonstrated moderate dynamics-5.4% and 4.5% respectively.
By the data of international stock markets, as of January 12, 2017, 6:01 pm Moscow time, the spot price of 1 troy ounce of gold made up $1205.7 (0.1% growth versus Jan 11), silver - $17.02 (0.12% growth versus Jan 11), platinum - $991 (0.2% growth versus Jan 11), and palladium - $765 (0.13% decline versus Jan 11).
