Armenia is interested in Russian agricultural equipment supplies, Suren Karayan, the Armenian Minister of Economic Development and Investments stated yesterday during his meeting with Russian Minister of Trade and Industry Denis Manturov. Folowing the Russian trade and Industry Ministry website, Armenian Minister raised also the issue on establishing a new airline company based on SSJ 100 fleet. "I would like to talk also about establishment of Russian-Armenian Investment Fund, which purpose would be the imports phase-out and the public export development,' Suren Karayan mentioned.
To note, currently the Russian Ministry of Trade and Industry together with executive power stakeholders and agricultural leading manufacturers develop the roster of manufacturers and items of agricultural equipment and also discuss the sources of this project funding. For instance, currently one of big Russian manufacturers is ready to propose the most effective and beneficiary solutions for all the categories of agriculture in Armenia.
Besides, a number of arrangements is under implementation nowadays in respect to the joint project of Sukhoi Civil Jets and Soglasie JSC aimed at launching SSJ 100 at Armenian air carriers market. Particularly, a joint team is capsulated comprising representatives of both sides, and the road map of project implementation is developed.
To remind, the meetin of Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan and Russian Government Head Dmitri Medvedev is planned for today, January 24. It was reported earlier also, that Russian Federation is intended to invest about USD 300 mln in Armenian economy in order to support Karen Karapetyan's Government.
