ArmInfo. 5 companies from Armenia participate to Moscow 48th International Exhibition "TEXTILLEGPROM" opened on February 14th. The Armenian companies' participation became possible due to Development Foundation of Armenia.
According to Foundation's press-service statement, such companies like "LENTEX", "Arshaluys", "Alex textiles", "Mosin" and "Hello" participate the exhibition, which will last till February 15th. They will present their men's, women's and children's clothing, stockings and socks products in a single pavilion. The main purpose of Armenian companies' participation is to sign contracts on export of the local goods, the maximum usage of EEU and better representation in the Russian market. During similar exhibitions in February and September 2016 the representatives of Armenian companies, held meeting with over 70 customers and suppliers with the result of 12 contracts signed for a total amount of 740mln AMD.
"The EEU participation provided to Armenia the possibility for exports to Union states markets the competitive Armenian production. Using this possibility, our companies may achieve profitable agreements. The recent period experience shows that the Armenian companies are reaching success while participating to international exhibitions", The Executive Director of the Fund Karen Mkrtchyan said.
To note, the Moscow exhibition covers a territory of over 60thsd sq/m. 2 exhibitions are held here yearly, with participation of more then 2500 companies from 42 states. In average 30thsd people visit the exhibition.
According to Armenian National Statistical Service data, in January-December 2016, the main trade and economic partner remains Russian Federation. The goods' turnover exceeded $1.367bln, increasing in compare with 2015 by 15.5%. The export of Armenian products to Russia amounted $371mln exceeding in compare with 2015 by 51.5%.
