ArmInfo. Among CIS countries Armenia is in top 5 for Russians  in respect to gastronomic tourism, TourStat analytical agency states based on the results of study held.  According to the analysis, the top 5 of CIS countries popular for gastronomic tourism are  Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The gastronomic tourism in CIS countries is one of the most fast growing sector in Russian tourism for the year of 2017. The rating is developed based on the gastronomic tours demand.  According to TourStat, the most popular  gastronomic tours in Russia are one week duration trips. For instance, 7 year tour from Russia to Kazakhstan or Armeniawill cost in average USD 900, to Azerbaijan and Georgia - USD 800, and to Uzbekistan - at USD 1000.

Gastronomic tourism assumes trips and gastronomic tours to different countries to learn about local ways and habits through local cuisine and appropriate master classes.
