ArmInfo. Within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), a warning system will be created for hazardous goods that can harm human health. The author of the document is the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia.
Thanks to the system, the member countries of the EEU, as the Russian "Isvestiya" writes, will be able to inform each other promptly about products that can harm life and health. The document has already passed the procedure of interstate approval.
If dangerous goods are found in the country, they cannot only be quickly withdrawn from the shelves of stores, but also warned of neighboring countries' risks with the help of the system being created. Its operators will be the bodies in the field of consumer protection. In Europe, similar systems are already functioning.
In the Eurasian Economic Commission (Izvestia), it was explained that the matter concerns products that do not comply with technical regulations on safety adopted within the framework of the union, as well as products that can harm human life and health. The system will ensure operative interaction of the control authorities of the EEU states and help reduce the risks of the spread of dangerous goods.
The commission specified that a single database will be formed by bodies in the field of consumer protection that organize the exchange of operational information on identified low-quality, dangerous goods, services and unscrupulous producers.
