Armenian Anti-Monopoly Commission punishes Telemarket for dishonesty

ArmInfo. The State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) of Armenia received a complaint about the activities of Telemarket, an online store operating on the television advertising market.

As the press service of theCommission told ArmInfo, "TiViTon" (Eurotvmarket trademark) and "Armaba" brand (TVtrade brand) complained about the behavior of Telemarket, which has leading positions in this segment of the market, in particular, according to the complaint, after the demonstration "Telemarket" advertises with the discount of 50-70%, However, after the TV viewers call and order the goods, it turns out that it is not available and is unknown When, as the applicants believe, "Telemarket" is unkindly obstructs the activities of competitors - other companies.

"Within the framework of the initiated administrative proceedings, it became clear that there are many such examples," the SCPEC stated, noting that Telemarket is conducting unfair competition in the television advertising market. As a result, for the violation of the antimonopoly legislation and manifestation of unfair competition, Telemarket was brought to justice, having received a warning.
