ArmInfo. Karkhas LLC is intended to invest 2.06bln AMD in construction of cascade of small hydropower stations in Artsakh with power of 2.8MwT . Armenian Government on June 29 delayed delayed the payment of value added tax for equipment imported by the company for three years.
According to Tigran Khachatryan, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia, the company plans to build a cascade of small hydroelectric power stations on the territory of Mirik and Moshatai communities of Kashatak district of Artsakh. As part of the investment program, the cost of imported equipment will be 502.2 million AMD. As a result, in 2018-2020 will be created 10 new jobs with an average salary of 100 thousand AMD. To note, in Kashatak region on the Ahavni River, small hydro power stations are being built. Earlier, small HPP Syunik-1 and Syunik-2 were built with a capacity of 2.4 MW and 3.2 MW each. A total of 6 small hydropower plants are planned to be built on the river.
