ArmInfo. Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Vache Terteryan received a Polish delegation headed by the Vice-Marshal of the Podlaskie Voivodeship Machia Zhivnoe. The meeting was also attended by the Polish Ambassador to Armenia Jerzy Marek Nowakowski. The delegation arrived in Armenia within the framework of the EU program on the empowerment of civil society in Armenia.
According to the press service of the Ministry, Vache Terteryan noted the importance of the Polish side's assistance in the development of civil society at the local level. He stressed that in the sphere of equal development of regions, the Armenian side has an established experience of cooperation with Polish colleagues.
The representative of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development, at the request of the guests, also presented investment programs of possible interest to Poland. As new ways of cooperation, the deputy minister singled out the areas of processing of solid domestic waste, construction and production of solar power plants.
In his turn, Vice-Marshal of Podlaskie voivodeship stated that during the trips of the delegation to Shirak and Ararat regions of Armenia, the prospects of cooperation development were discussed, some of which will be highlighted in a separate cooperation package.
It should be noted that the program on promoting the capacity of civil society in Armenia, in the framework of which the head of the EU delegation, Ambassador Petr Svitalsky, the day before, handed over the certificates to 17 winners of the NGO program, whose projects are aimed at the development of education, culture, tourism, civil society at the local level, It is implemented by the Podlasie Voivodeship Development Fund with EU funding.
