ArmInfo. The working group, established by the decision of the Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan, will improve the living conditions of the residents of the communities of the republic which have problems with gasification. The Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia Ashot Manukyan will head the working group.
The Working Group will seek alternative solutions to unregulated communities, in particular, specific proposals for the organization of hot water supply.
March 15 this year. At the meeting of the Government, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan said that during the regional visits it was found out that in the non-gasified territories there are a number of problems, including the organization of heating. Karen Karapetyan instructed the Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources and the Minister of Territorial Administration and Development to discuss with the CJSC "Gazprom Armenia" the possibility of providing these communities with blue fuel, and also discuss alternative energy sources if necessary.
Recently, a package of proposals was developed and submitted to the government to provide heat energy to the unregistered communities of Armenia, the RA Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources. In particular, this refers to the installation of photovoltaic panels and water heaters in these communities, or pellet boilers or furnaces. According to the Deputy Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Hayk Harutyunyan, specific proposals have been made on the basis of the studies carried out and calculations for each specific community. "The preference for this project is given to the installation of water heaters, which is the best and mutually beneficial option for providing non-gasified communities with hot water," said Hayk Harutyunyan, who, at the same time, pointed to other possible solutions to the problem. In particular, according to him, gasification is possible in a number of communities. The solution of this problem was discussed with the operator of the gas system of Armenia. "The proposed package of proposals will be discussed in the near future in the government of the country, and after the approval the implementation of the program will begin, but this will take considerable time and serious financial resources." In any case, the government is determined and ready for a gradual solution of the problem. Given to the border communities, "the deputy minister said.
To remind, 329 communities have not yet been gasified in Armenia. It is about 150 thousand people or 5% of the population of Armenia.
