ArmInfo. Armenia and Russia will take concrete steps to increase the volume of supplies to the Armenian market of Russian rough diamonds. A corresponding agreement was reached yesterday in Moscow during the meeting of the Armenian delegation in the RA Ambassador to Russia Vardan Toganian, advisor to the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia Gagik Mkrtchyan and RA Trade Representative in Russia Karen Asoyan and Deputy Finance Minister of the Russian Federation Alexei Moiseev.
According to the press service of RA Ministry of Economic Development and Investments, during the meeting the parties discussed the issue of increasing the efficiency of supply of rough diamonds to Armenia. Moreover, the deliveries are expected to be carried out both by the Russian company Alrosa and Gokhran of the Russian Federation. In this context, the interlocutors discussed the possibility of mutual recognition of state samples. As a result of negotiations, the parties reached an agreement on the application of innovative approaches and new delivery mechanisms on this issue. They agreed to take concrete steps in order to speedily implement the agreements reached.
According to the advisor of Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia Gagik Mkrtchyan, the implementation of these agreements will ensure the sustainable development of the industry.
