RA Minister of Energy and IMF representatives discussed credit programs implemented in Armenia

ArmInfo. On September 15 the Minister Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia Ashot Manukyan received the delegation of the International Monetary Fund, headed by the head of the mission of the Foundation Hossein Samiye.

According to the press service of the department, during the meeting, issues related to the sources of financing for the construction of the electricity transmission lines Ira-Armenia and Armenia-Georgia, the second power unit of the Yerevan TPP, as well as Shnokh HPP.

At the request of the guests, the Armenian minister presented the process of implementation and schedule of the program for liberalizing the country's electricity market. The interlocutors also discussed further steps towards the implementation of the program to extend the life of the second power unit of the Armenian NPP.

During the meeting, issues related to the management of external debt and the impact of credit resources attracted to energy projects on external debt volumes were also discussed.
