Such an opinion on Sept. 18 in a conversation with journalists in the margins of the 6th Pan-Armenian forum Armenia-Diaspora expressed Sam Samuelian, founder of Capital Motors LLC, who moved to Armenia from Lebanon 17 years ago, said. During these years, according to the businessman, shortcomings in the Tax Code have been eliminated.
Speaking about today's forum, S. Samuelyan noted that the event is not conducted with the aim of making decisions, but is aimed at acquaintance and strengthening of ties. "Armenia needs to be presented to the Diaspora. I think that the work of the forum will be effective," he stressed.
To note, the 6th Armenia-Diaspora Forum was opened on September 18 in the Yerevan Sports and Concert Complex named after Karen Demirchyan. The forum gathered more than 1800 participants of Armenian origin from 71 countries. Within the framework of the forum, there will be 3 plenary and 16 thematic sessions, cultural events. For the first time in the work of the forum, four main areas were identified: "The main tasks of the development of Armenia", "Features of Armenia's defense policy in the current challenges", "Foreign policy agenda" and "The main tasks of preserving the Armenians." To organize work in these areas, the responsible departments are selected: the Ministry of Defense, Foreign Affairs, International Economic Integration and Reforms, as well as the Diaspora. The forum will last until September 20.
