ArmInfo. Agriculture Minister Ignaty Arakelyan met with representatives of a number of Dutch companies engaged in the production of agricultural machinery. As the press service of the ministry reports, the parties discussed prospects for expanding Armenian-Dutch business ties and the possibility of supplying Dutch agricultural machinery to Armenia.
"It is extremely important for us to increase the volumes and ensure the high quality of production in all branches of the agro-complex, which will be competitive in export markets. To this end, we are ready to explore any proposal aimed at developing and improving the efficiency of the sphere, and discuss the possibilities of introducing modern equipment," said Minister I. Arakelyan.
According to the source, the guests briefly presented their activities, and the most expedient directions for cooperation in the agrarian sphere. In particular, Dutch entrepreneurs showed great interest in the construction of greenhouses in Armenia, warehouses for storing vegetables and refrigeration facilities, installation of Dutch equipment at poultry farms and livestock farms. At the same time, the Dutch did not rule out the possibility of retraining Armenian specialists.
For his part, I. Arakelyan presented the conditions for a new program of state support for the provision of agricultural machinery in leasing, noting that Dutch companies can also become participants in the state program.
