ArmInfo. Armenian-Belarusian economic cooperation issues were discussed in Yerevan by Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan and Minister of Labor of Belarus Vitaliy Vovkin.
According to the press service of the Government, Karapetyan stressed that Armenia and Belarus have not implemented the potential of cooperation in trade-industry sphere totally. According to him, it is necessary to undertake effective steps in order to intensify two-sided economic cooperation.
In his turn, Vovkin stressed that within the framework of the visit to Armenia, the steps were discussed which are to be undertaken to intensify bilateral cooperation especially in agriculture, science, transport communications spheres.
Karapetyan suggested Vovkin consider Armenia as a country through which Belarus can enter the markets of third countries, with the fact that the free economic zone operates between Armenia and Iran, the republic, being a member of the Eurasian Economic Union, enjoys preferential EU regimes GSP + and the US GSP.
The sides also discussed agenda of upcoming Armenian-Belarusian inter governmental commission session in Minsk on cooperation.
