Ministry of Transport: Chinese Construction comparatives are interested in road construction in Armenia

ArmInfo. Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies of Armenia Vahan Martirosyan on November 30 received representatives of the Chinese construction company "China consrtuction" headed by Deputy General Manager Wei Yang. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies.

The head of the Armenian Ministry of Transport presented the programs of road construction on the basis of public-private partnership, as well as the investment program of the North-South transport corridor. Vahan Martirosyan stressed that he would be glad to cooperate with the Chinese company on these and several other programs. He noted the readiness for cooperation, saying that such an authoritative organization has every opportunity to participate in the forthcoming competitions for road construction.

Wei Yang, introduced the company's activities. He noted that "China consrtuction" is a Chinese state corporation, which is the largest construction company in the world, ranking 24th in the list of 500 largest enterprises in the world. The company, he pointed out, is engaged not only in construction but also in project activities, carrying out activities on all continents.

During the meeting, representatives of the Chinese construction company presented the specifics of the road construction programs in Armenia. "It was noted that this is the first visit of the company's representatives to Armenia, where they see great opportunities for participation in construction work.  Vahan Martirosyan suggested to the Chinese company that before carrying out the bid for the competition, the technical group" China consrtuction "carried out field research. In addition, specialists of the relevant departments of the Ministry will be ready to provide consultations and support on any issue, "the message of the Ministry of Transport of Armenia said.
