ArmInfo. On 80 investment programs submitted from the regions of Armenia, the government did not pass a positive conclusion, but they were once again evaluated, and 19 programs with some reservations can again be submitted for financing.
On December 23, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Varazdat Karapetyan said at a working meeting with Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan. According to the press service of the Armenian government, the meeting was devoted to improving the effectiveness of investment programs in the country's regions.
In the course of the meeting, the Prime Minister instructed the heads of the sectoral departments to discuss these programs again and together with the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development as soon as possible and submit proposals for their implementation. Karen Karapetyan said that next week during a meeting with the governors of the regions, the issue of fulfilling the tasks of the prime minister concerning improving the quality of investment programs and entrepreneurship, as well as the parameters for assessing the work will be discussed. This, according to the prime minister, is necessary to ensure that the programs submitted by the regions of the country are substantive and realizable. In this context, Karen Karapetyan stressed the importance of active work of the regional structures under the control of each department. He called for consistency in the issue of increasing economic activity in the Armenian regions.
