On the sidelines of the World Forum in Davos, during the meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, the head of the Armenian government Karen Karapetyan stated.
The Prime Minister of Armenia stressed the important role of the Armenian Diaspora in Lebanon in the presence of strong ties and bilateral cooperation. According to the press service of the Armenian government, Karen Karapetyan presented to his Lebanese counterpart the development trends of the Armenian economy and the reforms undertaken. He noted that last year in Armenia, good economic indicators were fixed, and the government of the republic is determined to implement the reform program. Speaking about the prospects for cooperation, the RA Prime Minister informed that Armenia, being a member of the EAPS, having with the EU the preferential trade regime GSP + and the agreement on a comprehensive and expanded partnership, has very good relations with Iran, which can cause increased interest among representatives of the Lebanese business.
In turn, Saad Hariri noted that the government of Lebanon intends to work actively with Armenia and the Armenian business, and is ready take concrete steps in this direction. The Prime Minister of Lebanon invited his Armenian counterpart to visit Beirut, which was accepted with gratitude.
