ArmInfo. The second stage of the restoration of the Arpa-Sevan hydrotunnel will be completed in 2019 - one year ahead of schedule. On February 6, at a meeting with journalists, the chairman of the State Water Management Committee of Armenia Arsen Harutyunyan said.
According to the head of Water Management of Armenia, already in April-May 2019, it is planned to open a tunnel and ensure uninterrupted supply of water to Lake Sevan. For today, water in Lake Sevan is supplied with interruptions, annually in the amount of 100-110 million cubic meters. "After the completion of the overhaul of the tunnel, 250 million cubic meters of water will be sent to Sevan via the hydro-tunnel from the rivers Arpa and Eghegis," Arsen Harutyunyan said.
